- something that hits you hard, out of the blue. Like a flu. Feeling terrible, hot flashes, shivering, stomach going crazy with butterflies. Sleepless fever dreamy nights. It hurts. Can't think straight. Can't concentrate. Uncontrollable. Makes you go f***** nuts! … and it's such a great joy to. A real-life experience for sure.
What happens then in a virtual world? Emotions are the most real 'thing' in SL. In a world of dreams, love happens. For real? I've heard the love stories. Even met a couple once who decided to move together in RL. Love happens in all worlds : ).
Such a crazy experience. But what is it?

Love is... "a temporary insanity curable by marriage", according to Ambrose Bierce. I was cynical once too :) But some of the things I have seen in this virtual world have made me think again.
Everything we perceive is defined by our physical being, the body and it's sensory structures: the colours we see, the sounds we hear. We each create our own worlds out of perception and interpretation. Each person's world is different, for some it is a bleak, dark place; for others the world is full of light and joy, but most worlds meet and intersect at common points.
We can agree what the colour red looks like, what a middle C sounds like on a piano.
These intersections help us bring forth our familiar world from the fertile void and affirm our connections to humanity.
There are many kinds of love of course, but the crazy heart-in-the-mouth sensation of unconstrained wildness happens, I think, when two worlds collide, matching each other and creating a wider world.
You meet someone and it feels like you have known them all your life. Their world is a mirror of yours because together you bring forth the same world in the ultimate act of creation. It's the creation myth acted out for real. We are gods and it is charged with physical power.
It's sexual and physical, maybe because that's just the nature of the creative act, that it needs two parts opposite in some aspects to come together and become whole.
Everything we do is a dance in the choreography of coexistence, we have only the world we bring forth with others - and only love brings it forth :)

As humans we have the capacity to live the world in our head, and this enables us to go beyond what we directly see, being in SL isn't just a game with polygons and textures, you meet people, share their dreams, build them and get closer much faster than RL with the help of convenient features (teleport close your friends to hug them, speak to them with telepathic IM).
So this crazy experience is a real one, and it clearly shows how much sensitive you can be. Love is a great feeling, you don't have to deny it, virtual world or not, it's always real, except it's also quicker "evanescent" on SL. Enjoy it as it lasts, stay lucid and take care.
True love can be eternal, how irreal and fast virtual worlds can be, it can't be affected.

To be in love is the most amazing feeling we experience and I am so happy you are able to feel this right now! As with most feelings (happiness, anger, jealousy, joy..) love can come in all forms and gradations. :)
To explain Love would be the same as trying to count the stars at the firmament... or empty a sea with a spoon. The only thing I learned so far, is that real Love is a ship that is not so easy to manage and it takes great strength and willpower to stay on your feet. But on the other hand, isn't this pain so sweet you would be willing to die for it? Don't we all want to have more passion in our lives?
Enjoy every second of it sweet heart :) Because Love & Passion are the engines of our lives. A life without love is a deliberatly wasted life...
