Ok… I give in and turn around… vice voice is great! Some improvement has been made to: Now you can see who’s talking, and the Voice IM is cool to. It seems the balance has tipped to the good side for me. So here’s Kean Kellys Hot’n’Not list for voice:

Hot:

• It takes less time to communicate
• You get a lot of info about the other person qua his/hers voice
• Voice IM works most of the time and is independent of distance in SL
• People with disability to type DON’T have that prob anymore : )))
• New feature that indicates who in your surrounding is voice enabled, and shows who’s doing the talking

Not:

• Lack of ‘scrolling back‘… hehehe… that is a great feature in chat
• People talking on top of each other, there's a lot of, ‘what did u say?’
• Boooooooring talk subjects: because it is way easier to talk than to type, people talk just to say something! It is a bit like visiting your grandmother… and you don’t have time to think as much about what your actually saying
• Lack of logs

So for me it will be okay at times. Chat has its good points to. So I am sure I’ll be using both. Oh... and do help Loki Clifton out with the testing of this, join the group MG voice testers and help out anyway you can so we rid voice of as many bugs as possible. Bring it on!
